Wood in Construction - Helsinki Workshop
Are you working in the Nordic wood and/or construction domain? We are pleased to invite key stakeholders to contribute with their opinions and knowledge to a workshop on Wood in Construction in Helsinki.
The purpose of this workshop is to identify what kind of actions are needed to increase the use of wood in construction in the Nordic countries. Furthermore, the workshop will also seek to identify relevant stakeholders to engage in these actions. The workshop will build on the findings from previous held workshop within the project Wood in Construction and Climate-KIC events (Copenhagen Dec. 2017, Helsinki Jan. 2018 and Stockholm March 2018).
Hosted by EIT Climate-KIC, the workshop is part of the pan-Nordic project for Wood in Construction, which was initiated by the Swedish Government and the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2018. The project is led by a secretariat hosted by EIT Climate-KIC.
One of the main goals of the project is to formulate a road map for how to address challenges and barriers to increased industrial use of wood in construction. This workshop will function as an important step towards formulating this road map. The project secretariat will present the findings from this workshop and other scoping initiatives to the Nordic Council of Ministers in May and June.
Please respond as soon as possible, as space limits the workshop to 40 participants. Registration closes 2 May or when registration is full.
