A study trip to Sweden 14.-16.9.2022
Following the success of the previous study trip to Pudasjärvi and Kuhmo, Puuinfo is organizing another study trip. This time, we invite you to the global leader in wooden construction – Sweden! The trip will take place in the middle of September, where we will have a chance to explore the latest treasures of Gothenburg and Växjö. Be a part of this study trip with Puuinfo!

Wednesday 14.9.
11.10-12.10 A flight from Helsinki to Gothenburg
13.00 Nodi, Nya Hovås
The responsible architect Joakim Hansson from White Architects welcomes us to Sweden’s one of the first wooden office building – Nodi in Nya Hovås. The Nodi contains five floors. The ground floor serves as a retail space, while the four floors above have offices.
Nya Hovås is a newly built district located in the south of Gothenburg. Houses, schools, offices, restaurants, meeting spaces, service facilities, and small shops exist in this newly developed, vibrant area.

11.00 Växjö station and municipal building
A guided tour of the Växjö station and municipal building with coordinator Wivi Simic.
The building was completed in 2021 and is entirely made of wood. In 2022 it was nominated for construction of the year.

A tourist class hotel is situated approximately 3 km from Växjö city centre with easy access to the highway. There is a restaurant, bar, conference facilities, 24-hour reception, and 123 rooms.

13.30 Landamäreskolan
An architect Jürgen Wahlström welcomes us to visit one of his projects, an unusual S-shaped building, preschool – Landamäreskolan. The building was completed in 2016. The school’s construction, façade, and furnishings are 80 percent wood.
15.00 Universeum, Gothenburg
The responsible architect Gert Wingårdh invites us to visit Science Center with an aquarium made from wood, glass, and concrete, all chosen for their future recycling potential.

Price, terms and billing
The price of the trip is € 985 (VAT 0%). Food, accommodation in a single room, and transportation from Helsinki-Vantaa airport are included.
After registration, the participant will receive an invoice, which must be paid in full before the trip begins.
