KoskiWall – Tongued-and-grooved uncoated chipboard for walls

KoskiWall is a Finnish chipboard designed for interior walls that is ideally suited for the needs of the construction industry, for both new construction and various renovation projects. Durable walls are quick and easy to install, thanks to the tongued-and-grooved edges of the boards.

Quick-to-install Finnish chipboard for walls

KoskiWall is an uncoated or primed chipboard that is suited primarily for various interior wall structures or ceilings, as well as roof support boards (P5). The chipboard can be installed using regular wire nails or screws, making the boards quick and easy to install. The chipboard also responds well to gluing.

Chipboard made from real wood insulates sound

The strength of KoskiWall chipboard is constant in every direction along the plane of the board, making it a long-lasting option for walls. Even heavy objects can be easily and firmly secured to the durable and high-quality chipboard walls. The chipboard is made of sawdust, a by-product of the sawmilling industry, which provides the walls with good sound insulation and works excellently, for example, in the internal facing of exterior walls.

In dry spaces, straight-edged, 11-mm-thick standard chipboard is mainly used. If the walls must bear heavy loads, 12-mm-thick straight-edged or tongued-and-grooved chipboard can be used instead. T&G chipboard enables either a butt or chamfer joint on the surface, depending on the side of the panel that is being used.

For walls in more demanding applications and wet spaces (moisture class 2), the P5 grade, which has higher moisture resistance, is recommended. KoskiWall is also available primed on one side.

Clean chipboard won’t damage saw blades

KoskiWall chipboard is made in Järvelä, home to the only chipboard mill in Finland, by professionals who ensure a high-quality end product using clean raw materials. Sawmilling industry wood by-products account for 90% of the content of all the boards. The boards can be sawn, drilled and cut using any conventional woodworking tools, as high-quality chipboard is easy to work with and won’t damage saw blades. Blades that are in good condition cut board better and bring savings in equipment maintenance.
