Metsä Wood birch plywood products
Metsä Wood’s birch plywood products high-quality and environmentally friendly plywood panels. Birch plywood is characterized by excellent strength and stiffness properties, and therefore it performs well in applications demanding high strength and rigidity. The Metsä Wood birch plywood panels are easy to machine and install using conventional woodworking tools and fasteners.
Overlaid birch plywood products are tailored for range of different applications. The surface of the overlaid panels can be smooth or patterned. Smooth phenol film overlay is used for example in concrete formwork. Rough wire mesh patterned phenol film overlay is ideal for vehicle flooring due to long-lasting anti-slip surface.
The base plywood for all birch plywood products is made of cross-bonded 1,4 mm thick birch veneers bonded with a weather- and boil-resistant phenol formaldehyde adhesive.
