WoodBuild Finland 2025
Sustainable innovations to happy living
15-16 May 2025, Helsinki
The two-day international seminar focusing on wooden construction and architecture will be held in Helsinki, with side events organized around the region surrounding the capital of Finland.

A Canadian TV group visited in Helsinki in June 2023 and filmed a video of the wood architecture. You can see the video in Puuinfo’s YouTube channel.
This new district of Helsinki is being made almost entirely from timber, quite literally taking wooden construction in Finland’s capital to new heights.
Rainer Mahlamäki is a professor and partner at Lahdelma & Mahlamäki. In this video, he talks about the Finnish Nature Centre, Haltia as the first public building built with CLT (cross-laminated timber). CLT makes it possible to build large and tall with wood because it has some of the same qualities as concrete.
