LapWall invests in new factory in Pyhäntä

Equipped with the industry’s latest technology, this new LapWall facility will significantly lower the costs of component manufacturing and assembly and allow raw material to be used more efficiently. This investment supports the company’s strategy, which aims for profitable growth and a sizeable increase in market share.

“This investment will triple our production capacity. The market is expected to improve in the coming years, and this ensures that we will be ready. Now is a good time to invest, as costs are low,” says LapWall’s CEO Jarmo Pekkarinen.

Designed for component manufacturing and assembly, the new facility will be part of the company’s existing factory area in Pyhäntä. Production is expected to begin in the second half of 2025.

Wooden elements are increasingly popular in the construction industry thanks to the open product standard introduced by LapWall. These new facilities will help the company manufacture innovative new products and product structures, further expanding the use of wooden elements in construction.

The project received financial support from the European Regional Development Fund in the form of a grant organised by the North Ostrobothnia ELY Centre. At full capacity, the factory will employ approximately 50 people.
