Large structures

Highly developed wood structure technology enables wood to be used in a range of applications in large hall-like buildings, such as commercial halls, sports and community halls, industrial and warehouse buildings and agricultural buildings. In halls, frame structures and roof- and wall elements are normally made using dedicated systems. Structurally, they form an integrated whole. The frame structure is chosen based on the required span. The most common material for large column-, beam- and lattice structures is glued laminated timber. The wall and roof elements are usually large wood-framed elements, which are also employed to increase the rigidity of the building.
